Preparations are well underway for Mandurah’s signature annual event, the Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest which is happening on March 17th and 18th this year! And it’s bigger than ever as it celebrates it’s 20th anniversary in 2018.
If you haven’t been, it’s WA’s biggest free regional event and showcases the best food and entertainment the Peel Region has to offer.
This year, the free two-day festival includes over 100 hours of free entertainment (from the likes of Samantha Jade and Eskimo Joe no less included in the line up_ that spans across live music, unique food experiences, fireworks and of course a stellar curation of all things blue manna crab.
Mandurah Crab Festival was awarded back-to-back gold in the Major Festivals and Events category at the 2016 and 2017 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards, hosted by the Tourism Council of WA. It’s definitely an important part of the events scene for our state – and such a fun weekend to attend to. I always look forward to it!
Check out some snaps by Monica Defendi from last year, and keep an eye out for the 20th anniversary inflatable crab, affectionately known as ‘Nipper’ amidst the 100,000 strong crown in attendance.
